Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
New York, United States
Since the early years of my career, back in 2011 I have followed a translational-oriented career path, choosing Vall d’Hebron University Hospital as the center to carry on my residency training and José Baselga as my mentor. After finishing my residency, I joined the Early Clinical Trial Division of that center for a two-year fellowship training to gain insight in the molecular fundamentals of current oncology, before becoming a staff member of the Gastrointestinal Tumor Division under the direct supervision of Josep Tabernero. During these years I had collaborate with some research groups in the hospital which allowed me to push my own research ideas and obtaining some grants and crystalizing some publications.
At his point, the constant pressure for innovation and acquisition of higher professional standards that could foster my scientific thinking and ultimately benefit my patients, had taken me to pursue a stage at Luis Diaz laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
