Florian Scotté is MD-PhD, medical oncologist, more involved in head and neck cancer and supportive care in cancer. He has been previously Head of the SCUPP (Supportive Care in Cancer Unit Pompidou Paris), at the European Hospital Georges Pompidou (Paris, France), and Head of Medical Oncology and Supportive Care Department at Foch Hospital (Suresnes, France) to develop a new supportive care department in relationship to Medical Oncology improvement. He has moved to Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus, Villejuif, France where he stands as Head of Division (Interdisciplinary Cancer Course Department-DIOPP) which combines supportive care departments, ambulatory care department and Critical care department (ICU and emergencies in oncology).
He is member of ESMO (faculty member), ASCO, is Vice-President of the AFSOS (French Speaking Association for Supportive Care in Cancer) and President elect of MASCC for the course 2024-2026.
Teaching at several universities, he is involved in training both medical and para medical students and health caregivers.
He is also the coordinator and co-investigator of numerous studies especially in supportive care; the effectiveness of a frozen glove preventing onycholysis, supportive care status in France and new organizations in ambulatory chemotherapy administration, and digital health. His particular interest is devoted to nausea and vomiting management.
He also serves on the editorial board of « La Lettre du Cancérologue » and coordinate « news online » programs for the website “lecancer.fr”.
