Pr Thierry Conroy, MD, is medical oncologist and since 1993 full professor of oncology at the University of Lorraine in Nancy, France. He graduated in 1982 as doctor in medicine, and completed his training and qualification in internal medicine, gastroenterology, haematology, lung diseases, and medical oncology. Pr Conroy focus clinical activities and research on gastrointestinal cancer treatments. He has authored or co-authored more than 270 publications in international journals or in book chapters, mainly on esophageal, pancreatic and colorectal cancers and patients’ quality of life. Within the UNICANCER-Gastrointestinal and PRODIGE groups, he notably developed the Folfirinox regimen which has led important advances for patients with pancreatic or rectal cancer. He served for 10 years until April 2022 as director of the "Institut de Cancérologie de Lorraine", a comprehensive cancer center, and was elected in 2019 as one of the vice-presidents of the French UNICANCER network.
